1. Use a tax organizer.This is something you should be using all year for optimal results. It consists of two parts: an accordion file in which you store your receipts by type. Available at Walmart. This enables you to organize your receipts and forms by type. If you have not used one all year, no problem start now. The second part is the organizer which is designed to summarize and help you make sure you have accounted for all the different deductions for which you are entitled.
